The latest crossover from the Omoda brand, part of the Chery family, was shown with its interior design. The Russian press service noted that the Omoda C5 was slated to reach the market in the fall of 2022. In its initial rollout, the crossover would be offered in three trim levels, a choice of 13 exterior colors, and a single powertrain option—a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine delivering 147 horsepower paired with a CVT transmission. This setup promised a balance of performance and efficiency for urban commuting and highway cruising alike.

The interior choices for Russian customers include black and brown color schemes. The cabin features a multifunction steering wheel and seats with distinctive headrests integrated into shaped backrests, all upholstered in perforated eco-leather for a refined feel. The driver’s seat offers six-way electric adjustability, while the front passenger seat provides four-way adjustment, enabling comfortable, tailored seating positions for drivers and passengers on longer journeys.

Two 10.25-inch LCD displays form the instrument panel and the central multimedia screen, each offering HD resolution of 1920×720 pixels. The system supports connection with iOS and Android devices, allowing screen content to mirror a phone’s interface and to display information from the Surround View camera system for easier parking and maneuvering in tight spaces. The graphic design of the digital displays can be customized, and users can fine-tune sound fields, personalize driver assistance settings, adjust the tailgate height, and access data from the standard DVR. Interior lighting offers 64 selectable options and adapts to the driver’s style and the mood of the music emanating from six speakers throughout the cabin.

On the console’s side, a switch governs the electronic transmission, complemented by controls for the electric parking brake, AutoHold, and multiple drive mode settings. The keyless entry and push-button start add convenience, while a camera system provides full visibility around the vehicle. A dedicated pocket holds a keycard, and wireless charging for smartphones is standard, alongside a 12-volt outlet and two USB ports (including Type-C) plus two cup holders for practical everyday use. The winter package enhances usability in colder climates by including heated front and rear windows, heated exterior mirrors, heated front wipers, and a heated steering wheel and seats. The suite of driver assistance features includes adaptive cruise control, emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, collision warnings, and an automatic headlight shutdown. The climate control dependency is a dual-zone setup, and a cabin air filter with FFP2 protection helps ensure air quality.
