In November, the rankings for new passenger car sales placed Lada at the top with the Granta and Niva models leading the pack. Yet the Chinese automotive sector is closing in, underscoring a shift in consumer preference—Niva actually refers to two distinct models, Niva Legend and Niva Travel. Haval Jolion is already gaining strong recognition among buyers as a formidable challenger.
If both Russian SUVs managed to sell out in November with a total of 6,898 units, then a single Jolion had already been purchased by 2021-era buyers in Russia. This contrast highlights a rapid shift in demand where local favorites still command attention but foreign models are clawing their way into the spotlight.
Viewed across the year, the two Niva variants on the second line tallied 31,630 units, which is 14,253 fewer than in 2021. Jolion stood seventh with 15,670 units, showing a gain of 8,429 units over the previous year. The momentum of Jolion suggests a persistent interest in crossover options, even as traditional favorites maintain their presence on the market chart.
In November, three Geely models also ranked in the top 10 for sales: Coolray (fourth), Atlas Pro (sixth), and Tugella (tenth). For Haval, the F7 crossover remains a strong sales driver. Taken together, these models helped Geely and Haval secure a notable share of the buying public’s attention.
Looking at January through November, all of these models—aside from the relatively pricey Tugella—consistently appear among the top 25 bestsellers, illustrating a broad and competitive landscape where mainstream crossovers and accessible SUVs continue to attract buyers across the market.
Requires 7,000 tires in popular sizes
Without durable, reliable tires, public order cannot be guaranteed, and essential medical services cannot reach those in need. These factors underline the critical link between safe transportation and community welfare, especially in challenging conditions and during times of heightened demand for mobility.
In collaboration with the Popular Front, the initiative Behind the Wheel has begun fundraising to purchase tires for vehicles used by the People’s Police and operational services of the LPR and DPR. These tires will equip ambulances, emergency rescue units, humanitarian aid delivery vehicles for Donbass residents, and army equipment. Donations can be made on the collection page to support this cause.
