Avtoritet Pees unveils a compact urban jeep inspired project, the Niva Red Dragon
The Avtoritet Pees team from Togliatti sought to challenge a prevailing stereotype by presenting a practical urban jeep concept. Their budget was surprisingly modest—not the typical millions, but around 150 thousand rubles. The vehicle itself, a Niva reference point, received a light but purposeful upgrade that cost the team an additional 160 thousand rubles. In total, the project stayed within a compact budget while delivering a distinctive, city-ready machine.
Existing wheel arches were retained, and the decision to use low-profile wheels with 20-inch rims was seamless. The build included a refreshed engine, a repaint from a muted blue-green to a vivid red, and the addition of a robust rear door made from durable ABS plastic. Other upgrades covered fenders, modern diode lighting, and revised mirrors, all chosen to balance rugged capability with urban practicality.
To maximize value, the builders leaned on Chinese components, a choice that helped slash potential costs by roughly two-thirds. This approach also attracted the attention of nearby residents and onlookers, earning both curiosity and approval as the project progressed. The result is a practical blend of affordability and robustness that suits daily city driving while hinting at off-road capability when needed.
7,000 tires in common sizes are requested
Maintaining public order and ensuring access to medical care rely on steady mobility. In partnership with the public front, efforts were launched to raise funds for tires that would equip the Police and operational services in the LPR and DPR regions, including ambulances, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, humanitarian aid transports, and military hardware. Contributions can be made on the designated collection page, with supporters invited to help keep essential vehicles rolling.
