News from Europe reports the start of sales for the Nissan Qashqai e-Power hybrid. The version pairs a 190 horsepower, 330 Newton-meter powertrain with a 1.3-liter petrol engine that charges an onboard electric system. The setup is linked to the kind of heavy-duty electrical installations seen in mining dump trucks, and the hybrid is offered from 38,200 euros, or from 2.45 million rubles at current exchange rates.
The heart of the e-Power lies in a small petrol engine that runs a generator. This generator feeds an electric motor on the front axle, delivering power to the wheels. Importantly, this system does not support plug-in charging—owners simply refuel the car with 95-octane gasoline and continue driving, relying on the generator to top up the battery as needed.
Thanks to this architecture, the crossover achieves fuel consumption around 5.3 to 5.4 liters per 100 kilometers and emits about 119 to 123 grams of CO2 per kilometer. Those figures help it meet current environmental constraints in many markets, while still delivering the convenient, electric-like driving feel that a hybrid system can offer.
In its highest specification, the Nissan Qashqai e-Power is priced at 46,000 euros or 2.95 million rubles. A visual representation accompanies the information: Nissan
