The regional Ministry of Internal Affairs reports that nine people lost their lives in a collision involving a truck and a minibus in the Tula region, with details provided by RIA News. Photographs from the scene were published by the Myslo.ru portal, illustrating the aftermath of the crash.
The incident occurred around 16:30 on the 734th kilometer of the R-132 Golden Ring highway in the Leninsky district. Early information indicates that a Volkswagen Transporter veered into the oncoming lane and struck a truck. Following the impact, both vehicles slid into a roadside ditch and rolled over, resulting in a severe crash that disrupted traffic and prompted an emergency response.
Authorities state that nine people were killed in the collision. It was observed that the minibus ended up beneath the truck after the crash. The truck driver was reported to be sober at the time. The traffic police are conducting a full investigation to establish the circumstances surrounding the incident and to determine causation and responsibility.
In a separate report, there is mention of a separate incident in Makhachkala where a man fired a shotgun and fled in a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, but that event is unrelated to the wreck described above and is reported as a separate matter of public safety and law enforcement interest.
