A slim, boomerang-inspired LED headlamps shape a bold front, paired with a trapezoidal grille and a curved hood. Large wheels sit near the corners of the body, while the sides stay flat and the taillights stretch across the full width. A tapered trunk lid and four exhaust outlets add a sporty touch. What the next Camry will actually look like has long been a topic of conversation. The true source of information remains Toyota, but some details have started to surface. The ninth-generation Camry is planned to ride on a revised version of the TNGA-K platform, the same versatile architecture underpinning newer Toyota and Lexus models like the Crown, ES, RAV4, and Highlander.

The interior is set to feature a large touchscreen infotainment system with sharper graphics and the latest Toyota software, including integration for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Voice control, navigation, and over-the-air software updates are expected to be part of the package, making the cabin feel connected and current.

Inside the cabin, a digital instrument cluster and smartphone access features should further enhance convenience for drivers and passengers alike.

A new 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine is anticipated to replace the older 3.5-liter V6, with two boost levels available. The entry-turbo version is expected to deliver around 270 horsepower, while the higher-tune option could reach roughly 340 horsepower, with all-wheel drive likely included in the more powerful configuration.

There will also be a hybrid option, aligned with technology seen in models like the RAV4 Prime, delivering around 306 horsepower and offering a strong balance of performance and efficiency for daily driving and longer trips.

In the competitive sedan segment, the Camry faces rivals such as the Honda Accord, Subaru Legacy, Nissan Altima, Kia K5, and Hyundai Sonata. The next-generation Camry is anticipated to arrive in 2023, continuing Toyota’s tradition of reliability and value in the midsize sedan category.
