New Higer and Foton Buses Spotlight BW Expo in Moscow
The BW Expo in Moscow runs from November 29 to December 1, 2022, at Crocus Expo IEC, where visitors will get a firsthand view of the latest offerings from Higer and Foton. Higer, a recognized leader in producing city and tourist buses from China, will showcase two notable novelties designed to make a splash on roads across the region in the near term.
The first model from Higer is the KLQ 6128 LQ, a spacious tourist bus designed with a large luggage compartment to maximize cargo capacity on longer journeys. An automatic transmission version will be available for the fair, and the interior has been refreshed with newly designed, comfortable seats featuring headrests that offer added support for passengers. The exhibit invites attendees to sit in the updated seating arrangement to experience the comfort firsthand.
The second Higer display centers on the KLQ 6119 TQ, a refreshed tourist bus that not only benefits from exterior refinements but also incorporates a newly developed gas engine. This update aims to enhance performance while reducing emissions, aligning with cleaner propulsion trends seen in modern passenger transport.
In addition to Higer, China-Motor, the Foton representative for Russia, presents two more models. The Foton BJ 6180 is a city gas bus with a substantial weight of 28 tons and seating for as many as 136 passengers, highlighting the capacity and efficiency required for dense urban routes and high-volume events.
Another entrant, the Foton BJ 6122, combines a modern design with a cutting-edge diesel engine from the Foton-Cummins ISGe family. This powertrain is notable for fuel efficiency, delivering around 22 liters per 100 kilometers in mixed driving conditions and roughly 15 liters per 100 kilometers on highways, marking a meaningful reduction in operating costs for fleet managers.
