In April, the Moskvich plant reported selling 969 cars, nearly doubling the previous month’s figure, according to the enterprise’s press service. The April results show that almost half of the crossovers sold were already registered, with 513 cars purchased by private buyers and 235 transactions completed through the swap program. Sales to large corporate customers and to small and medium fleets totaled 456 units, distributed through the factory’s channels. In aggregate, dealers across Russia moved 75.6 thousand new cars in April, a figure highlighted by Autostat. In the prior month, 25.3 thousand new Lada vehicles were sold. The Moskvich dealer network currently operates 55 sales and service points spread across 25 Russian cities. Earlier in April, the Moskvich plant activated the main production line, which more than doubled the throughput of the assembly shop. The factory now uses a 480-meter-long fully automatic line for installing components. Last month also saw the introduction of the Moskvich 3 gasoline variant in a new configuration priced at 2.25 million rubles. Looking ahead, the Moskvich factory has outlined plans to expand its lineup and is eyeing an electric model on its own platform, a development previously discussed for 2025 and beyond (Autostat).
