The Moskvich plant unveiled its new main conveyor, with demonstrations shown through the enterprise’s press service and production photos that captured the moment. The introduction marks a significant milestone for the factory, signaling not only a technological upgrade but a shift in how the assembly line operates on a daily basis. The newly launched system stands as a cornerstone of a broader modernization plan that aims to streamline production, reduce bottlenecks, and showcase the company’s evolving capabilities to both local and regional partners.
According to the factory, the main conveyor has more than doubled the output capacity of the assembly shop. Cars are now assembled on a 480-meter-long, fully automatic line that integrates multiple stages into a continuous workflow. Preparations are already underway to begin small-batch assembly as the plant calibrates the new equipment, trains staff, and fine-tunes the interfaces between stations. This upgrade is designed to shorten cycle times, enable quicker changeovers, and allow the facility to respond faster to demand shifts while maintaining high quality across every stage of production.
The Moskvich plant aims to produce a total of 50 thousand vehicles in the upcoming period, with an ambitious portion of 8–10 thousand units allocated to electric motors. The current lineup features the Moskvich 3 crossover, with newly introduced equipment and the Moskvich 3e electric car priced at 2.25 million rubles. Serial production of the Moskvich 6 is planned to begin later this year, as confirmed by the company’s leadership, with production ramping up in the months ahead to support market demand and strategic growth for the brand.
