At the updated Moskvich plant, the pricing for the first batch of vehicles that began mass production on November 23 has not been officially announced yet. Market observers, however, anticipate a sticker price ranging from 1.6 to 2 million rubles when the model hits the market.

Residents of Moscow may benefit from a government-backed preferential car loan program, which could reduce the purchase price by as much as 20 percent for eligible buyers.

Sales of the Moskvich 3 city crossover are scheduled to commence in December within Moscow and the Central Federal District. The vehicle is powered by a 150 horsepower petrol engine and offers a choice between automatic and manual transmissions.

By year-end, the plant hopes to roll out a total of 600 units.
