In February 2023, sales of Moskvich cars in Russia reached 57 units, according to Avtostat, cited from JSC PPK data. This figure nearly doubled January’s count, which stood at 29.
Among the February purchases, 50 units were gasoline crossovers from the Moskvich 3 line, while the remaining 7 were electric variants within the same model family, branded Moskvich 3e.
The Moskvich 3 crossover is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine delivering 150 horsepower. The price for the six-speed manual version starts at 1.97 million rubles, while the version with a continuously variable transmission is priced at 2.035 million rubles.
The Moskvich 3e, an all‑electric model, features a 193 horsepower electric motor. Its price stands at 3.5 million rubles, and the electric variant is offered in a single configuration.
In early February, a statement indicated that deliveries of approximately 3,000 Moskvich cars would soon reach taxi fleets and car‑sharing services, signaling a strategic push into commercial mobility markets.
