According to the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for Moscow, authorities detained three suspects in connection with a car arson case. The incident is under investigation as police share findings from the capital’s law enforcement division.

The event occurred when a 35-year-old man from the Moscow region parked a foreign car near a garage cooperative in the Voikovsky district. During the night, three youths arrived on a scooter and began causing damage to the vehicle. They smashed windows, and the intruders removed the car’s radio and battery. Two of the young men scaled the car and repeatedly kicked the body and windshield, effectively damaging the vehicle. After a theft of a bag containing brass fittings from the trunk, one of the suspects used a lighter to ignite the car, and the group then fled the scene.

Investigators determined that the suspects are Moscow residents aged 22, 19, and 18. The total property damage has been estimated at approximately 350,000 rubles. The offenders did not manage to sell the stolen items before their apprehension. A criminal case has been opened on charges of theft and deliberate damage to property, and the suspects have been released on their own recognizance as the investigation continues.

In a separate report, authorities noted a recent incident near Krasnoyarsk where a pedestrian narrowly escaped a truck that swerved toward him, underscoring the ongoing concerns for public safety in different regions.
