According to Mash, the Mercedes-Benz driver did not sustain injuries and declined medical assistance. The Volkswagen driver, who sustained a head injury, was transported to a hospital by ambulance, per the reported information.

Baskent SK announced that a criminal case had been initiated under Part 1 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, relating to the incident.

Earlier, traffic police stated that checks on the roads had been completed and that routine safety audits were concluded.
