A Moscow Road Incident Involving a Mercedes-Benz Crossover
A Mercedes-Benz crossover struck two men on the Garden Ring in Moscow. The driver was identified as Kirill, the son of Igor Medvedev, a founder of the laser vision correction technology Lasik and a recipient of the title Honored Doctor of the Russian Federation. These details were reported by the Telegram channel 112.
The collision occurred along Sadovaya-Spasskaya Street, with the Mercedes-Benz making contact with pedestrians near a Volkswagen car that had emergency warning lights activated. Reports from 112 indicate that Igor Medvedev was in a Mercedes-Benz accompanied by his son during the incident.
According to Mash, the Mercedes-Benz driver did not sustain injuries and declined medical assistance. The Volkswagen driver, who sustained a head injury, was transported to a hospital by ambulance, per the reported information.
Baskent SK announced that a criminal case had been initiated under Part 1 of Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, relating to the incident.
Earlier, traffic police stated that checks on the roads had been completed and that routine safety audits were concluded.
