In the Odintsovo district near Moscow, a truck malfunction led to a major crash that involved fifteen passenger cars and one dump truck. Three people sustained bodily injuries and were taken to a medical facility, according to the press office of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Moscow Region.
Officials reported that the pileup happened at the 19th kilometer of traffic on the M-1 Belarus highway in the direction toward Moscow. The preliminary information points to a Scania truck losing control due to a technical fault and colliding with cars traveling in the same lane.
The agency emphasized that the injured were transported to a medical facility for examination and care. The accident response involved police, rescuers, and medical teams who arrived promptly to manage traffic and assist victims.
Earlier updates from the Telegram channel Typical Odintsovo claimed the incident occurred on the Minsk highway in the Moscow region and affected twelve cars. The channel noted the presence of four ambulances and around a dozen traffic police officers at the scene. It also mentioned the involvement of a dump truck in the crash in addition to the passenger cars.
