A mass accident occurred in Moscow’s northwest, with coverage noted by Ren TV.

Witnesses say six cars collided on Yeni Bashilovka Street while people posted updates on social networks.

Denis Gypoonin, one of the victims, said the crash happened at high speed because two cars were chasing one another. One vehicle struck another, which then slammed into a third car, unleashing a chain reaction that spread down the line.

Earlier on Kozhevnikiy Street, near house number 5, around 20:30, a Renault and a BMW crash occurred. A car then surged into a crowd. Eyewitnesses described the BMW driver as appearing intoxicated and in need of medical attention. At least six people were injured; six ambulance teams and a rescue helicopter were dispatched to the Paveletsky station area. The Investigative Committee opened a criminal case into the incident.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations released additional details about the incident earlier, confirming the ongoing response and providing updates on the scene.

Investigators are reviewing footage, questioning witnesses, and determining the sequence of events to establish accountability and prevent similar crashes. Authorities remind drivers to slow down, avoid reckless behavior, and stay sober behind the wheel.
