Man Used Fake Driver’s Licenses Across Regions, Facing Criminal Charges

In Sredneuralsk, a man managed to operate a vehicle for three years while using a fraudulent driver’s license. This information was provided to the Prosecutor’s Office of the Sverdlovsk region.

In 2019, in Kachkanar, a man who had previously lost his license obtained a counterfeit identification card bearing his own image but issued to another citizen. He continued to exercise the rights associated with that license until March 15, 2022, when a traffic police inspector stopped him in Sredneuralsk and discovered that the document was a forgery.

The Verkhnepyshminsky City Court found the 61-year-old driver guilty of a crime under Part 3 of Article 327 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation for intentionally using a false official document to grant driving rights. The defendant admitted his guilt. The court imposed a six-month restriction of freedom as the sentence.

Earlier, in December, it was reported that a resident of Orenburg had driven for eight years with a fake license, while another driver who had lost his license in 2013 in the Krasnoyarsk Territory continued to operate with an invalid license through 2022.
