A man suspected of attempting to run over a police officer and two other individuals in the Krasnodar Territory was detained. Local authorities indicate this incident occurred during ongoing police activity, triggering a swift response from investigators.
In Beloglinsky district, officers from the criminal investigation department identified a 22-year-old resident who was sought on suspicion of assaulting a police officer. He was handed over to the investigative authorities, and a criminal case has been initiated under the pertinent article of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The case references Article 318 in connection with the use of force against a law enforcement officer.
The events unfolded on November 3. While police were attempting to de-escalate a dispute between residents, a vehicle was driven toward bystander witnesses, striking two people and a police officer. Officers fired a warning shot and directed shots at the vehicle’s hood. The suspect abandoned the car and fled on foot. The vehicle was later recovered and secured in a private parking area.
Additional information indicates that in St. Petersburg a local resident opened fire on a bus during a related dispute. The bus driver halted service, all passengers evacuated, and the shooter disappeared. One victim required medical attention and was later released in satisfactory condition.
Reports also noted an earlier incident in which a man fired a gun at his neighbor’s Lada Nadezhda vehicle.
