Lipetsk Plant Updates: i-Pro Sedans, i-Joy Crossover Pricing, and the Anticipated i-Jet Coupe

The Lipetsk facility operated by Motorinvest is currently assembling the i-Pro sedans using the SKD method. Alongside this, prices for the i-Joy compact crossovers have been announced, and industry chatter points to an early premiere for the i-Jet cross coupe. All of these models are described as licensed copies of Chinese Dongfeng electric vehicles, reflecting a broader strategy to bring established designs into production under local branding.

In addition to the previously announced Evolute lineup, there is another model that has generated curiosity: the SUV C+. At this stage, what is known for certain is that SUV C+ will not be a direct relative of the parent brand’s flagship Voyah Free. The plan is to market this SUV under a distinct brand identity, separate from the luxury Voyah line, signaling a repositioning in order to appeal to a broader audience.

Notes on Production Scale and Tire Requirements

One practical consideration highlighted by the company is the tire supply for popular sizes. The production and distribution network relies on a steady tire flow, and the absence of reliable tire availability could disrupt operations and service across the fleet. The tire inventory is estimated at about 7,000 units in the sizes most commonly requested by customers and end users, underscoring the importance of robust supply chains in the automotive sector.

In parallel, a public-private effort has gained momentum. A collaboration with the Popular Front has begun a fundraising campaign to purchase tires for police and emergency use vehicles. The proceeds will support cars used by the People’s Police and operational services in regions affected by conflict, including ambulances, emergency response units, humanitarian aid delivery vehicles, and related equipment. Contributions can be made through the designated collection page.
