In the latest updates, the company communicated ambitious production targets for the second half of the year, aiming to surpass the 100,000 mark with a range of modifications, and projecting almost 500,000 units for the following year. The plan includes ramping up the throughput of the Lada Granta and Lada Niva production lines to 50 and 38 vehicles per hour respectively. The Granta conveyor speed is scheduled to rise from 40 to around 50 vehicles per hour, while the Lada Niva models in the classic Legend configuration and the more modern Niva Travel lineup are set to reach 38 vehicles per hour, according to Maxim Sokolov in an interview with Russia 24 television.

To optimize capacity and efficiency, the decision was made to shift the production of the Lada Vesta from Izhevsk to Togliatti, since the Izhevsk plant could only sustain roughly 150,000 cars per year. The proposed capacity at the Togliatti facility would enable approximately 60 Lada Vestas per hour. This relocation involves an investment of about 1 billion rubles. The leadership indicated that the Vesta project at the new site was expected to become profitable by the end of 2023, reflecting a strategic move to balance regional output with demand and to leverage the stronger production footprint at the Tobolsk or neighboring regions after the transfer.

Overall, the company envisions a stronger production cadence across its key models, using targeted line enhancements and site optimization to meet advancing market demand. The shift to Togliatti is framed as a catalyst for higher efficiency and sustained output levels, aligning with broader manufacturing goals for the year ahead and the horizon beyond.
