AvtoVAZ is set to unveil the Lada Iskra at the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum, with the first public presentation scheduled for June 5 on 27th Street. The announcement comes via industry insiders who referenced company sources at Auto Mail.ru.

Production of the model is planned within the year, and it is expected to reach the market in 2025. In AvtoVAZ’s lineup, the Lada Iskra will sit above the Lada Granta in price and positioning, yet below the larger and more premium Lada Vesta. The Iskra will be offered in three body configurations, and promotional images have already appeared in official patent filings. The company’s president outlined that the Iskra will be sold concurrently with the Granta, the latter model likely to wind down in sales by 2026 or 2027.

Earlier reports noted a Baltic-organized competition aimed at testing drivers of Russian cars and addressing incidents of vehicle theft. The Iskra project is positioned as part of AvtoVAZ’s broader strategy to refresh its compact and mid-size segments while maintaining parity with evolving market demands.
