In Magnitogorsk, a Lada driver attempted to evade police by ignoring the stop signal, leading to a collision that injured the passenger. The State Traffic Safety Inspectorate of the Chelyabinsk region subsequently published footage from the pursuit, detailing the sequence of events that unfolded after the vehicle failed to comply with law enforcement requests to pull over.
The driver, operating a Lada Granta, drew the attention of traffic inspectors during nighttime checks. Instead of stopping, the motorist sped away, initiating a high-speed chase. In the course of the pursuit, the driver lost control of the car and struck a parked BYD, which was subsequently pushed into a Skoda by the impact. The chain of events culminated in damage to all involved vehicles and created a hazardous scene on the roadway.
The collision left the Lada’s passenger with injuries serious enough to require hospital treatment. The passenger, born in 1985, received medical care following the crash. Authorities opened a criminal case against the 36-year-old driver on charges related to driving under the influence, while an additional three administrative protocols were issued. The vehicle was towed to a private parking facility as part of the investigation.
