Krasnoyarsk Incident Involves Kia Rio and Pedestrian Crossing at a Crosswalk
In Krasnoyarsk, a collision occurred when a Kia Rio struck a pedestrian who was crossing at a marked crosswalk. The information was shared via the Telegram channel managed by the regional division of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
Initial details indicate that the Kia Rio driver, born in 1958, was traveling along Mira Street toward the Krasnoyarsk Musical Theatre when the vehicle struck a man born in 1937 who was crossing the street at a red light. The traffic police are currently on the scene, and investigators are clarifying all circumstances surrounding the incident.
Emergency responders transported the victim to a hospital for treatment. A video posted on the Telegram channel State of Emergency in Krasnoyarsk shows the pedestrian attempting to cross at the intersection, having already crossed more than half the roadway. The impact caused the man to fall onto the asphalt, and seconds later, the driver, who had continued moving after reaching the roadside, struck the person who was lying on the ground.
In a separate, unrelated update from regional authorities, reports reference a serial arsonist who was released from a colony in Yekaterinburg and is alleged to have burned two additional vehicles. Authorities are reviewing these details as part of ongoing investigations.
