F-design, a tuning studio based in Tolyatti, has released new renderings of its original car concept. The studio has pursued a project of this type for several years, and earlier efforts were put on hold. Now, there is renewed interest, with the latest material describing a buggy developed in collaboration with Togliatti State University. The project is labeled Kortrans Project in the displayed images.
The design has received a formal patent for its appearance, yet many technical specifics are kept confidential for strategic reasons. What is known is that the vehicle’s overall dimensions are planned at 4100 x 1980 x 1730 millimeters, with a wheelbase of 2900 millimeters and a ground clearance of 330 millimeters.
In the standard configuration, power comes from a 2.7-liter engine producing 150–180 horsepower. A higher-performance variant envisions a 4.4-liter V8 capable of delivering up to 598 horsepower. Transmission options include a five-speed manual or a conventional automatic, with provisions for downshifting, interaxle coupling, and two interwheel locks.
Project proponents emphasize that these are initial configurations. The modular platform is designed to accommodate an entire family of vehicles, allowing for variations in components and assemblies while maintaining a shared architecture.
The envisioned applications range from exploration and overland expeditions to military tasks and agricultural use. At present, the developer is seeking investors and partnerships to advance development and production plans.
- Is this a roadster or a pickup? The answer lies in the broader design language of the new Ford hot rod, which helps illustrate the intent behind such adaptable platforms.
- The project has a presence on social networks where updates are discussed by the team and supporters.
