A prototype bus, the KAMAZ-6299-40-5T (6×2) oversized low-floor model, was showcased on the KAMAZ stand in collaboration with its subsidiary NEFAZ. The vehicle is powered by an inline 6-cylinder engine that runs on compressed natural gas, delivering 340 horsepower, and it is paired with a six-speed retarder automatic transmission for smooth urban operation.
With a total weight of 28 tons, the bus features independent pneumatic front suspension and dependent pneumatic suspension on the driven and supporting axles. The design prioritizes high passenger volumes and adheres to contemporary safety and comfort standards for urban transit, as reported by the company’s press service.
The overall length measures 18,725 millimeters, effectively two cars articulated into one unit. Inside, passengers enjoy comfortable seating, a climate control system, double glazing, USB charging ports, and handrails equipped with driver signal buttons. A spacious storage area is provided, and a kneeling mechanism has been incorporated to facilitate accessibility. The cabin layout in the second section creates a wide passage by replacing a pair of double seats with a row of three single seats, increasing passenger flow. In total, the configuration accommodates 155 passengers, including 44 seats that remain in place for regular seating needs.
Specifying tire requirements for popular sizes
Reliable tire availability is essential for public services and essential operations. Ensuring tire supply supports the ongoing ability to maintain public order, deliver medical care, and respond to emergencies across urban routes.
In collaboration with the Popular Front initiative, the program has begun collecting funds to purchase tires for official vehicles used by the People’s Police and the operational services of the LPR and DPR. The effort also covers ambulances, units from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, vehicles delivering humanitarian aid to conflict-affected regions, and equipment used for military and humanitarian operations. Contributions can be made through the dedicated collection page.
