This year, Kaiyi plans to roll out three new crossovers priced at around 1.8 million rubles each. Dmitry Ivanov, the sales director for Kai Rus, told socialbites.ca that the new models are slated to arrive mid-April, with certification work now completed and ready to proceed.

Ivanov could not provide exact pricing yet, but indicated that the crossover lineup would be positioned between 1.8 and 3 million rubles. He added that Kaiyi intends to begin developing electric vehicles for the Russian market starting next year, signaling a broader shift toward electrification.

Earlier communications from the company indicated that 2023 would bring updates to the Kaiyi range, including the X3 and X3 Pro compact crossovers. The Kaiyi X3 spans about 4000 mm in length with a wheelbase of 2632 mm. The X3 is powered by a 1.5-liter naturally aspirated engine producing 116 horsepower, while the X3 Pro uses a 1.5-liter turbocharged unit delivering 147 horsepower. Both variants pair with a continuously variable transmission for smooth acceleration and efficiency.

Further plans on the table suggest the addition of the X7 Kunlun mid-size crossover to the Kaiyi lineup. This model is equipped with a 2.0-liter turbo engine generating 249 horsepower, aimed at offering a robust performance profile in its segment.

In related news, the Kaiyi E5 sedan, manufactured in Russia, is expected to be priced at 1.96 million rubles. This broader product strategy showcases Kaiyi’s intention to expand its presence in the region with a diverse range of vehicles that blend practicality, modern tech, and competitive pricing across different body styles and powertrains.
