Kaiyi E5 pricing hints emerge from Avtotor in Kaliningrad

Early figures suggest that the starter price for the new Kaiyi E5 sedan, built by Kaliningrad’s Avtotor plant, could land around 1.6 million rubles. This projection comes from Avtostat, referencing remarks from a representative of the company, Dmitry Ivanov, who outlined the initial pricing framework for the local market. The estimate signals a tiered approach: the base model equipped with a manual transmission is anticipated to start at about 1.6 million rubles, while the top-end version featuring a continuously variable transmission (CVT) may approach 2 million rubles. Those interested should note that the final price will be confirmed closer to the launch window, which is slated for March.
