AvtoVAZ reported that 33,325 Lada cars and commercial vehicles were sold in August, according to the company’s official communications.
August 2023 marked the highest monthly sales level since July 2021, when a previous peak was reached. Since the start of the year, AvtoVAZ has moved 206,321 vehicles, representing a 9% increase compared with the total for the entire previous year.
Among the models, 16,785 Lada Granta units were sold in Russia during August, up 44.9% from August 2022. The Lada Vesta lineup accounted for 6,657 sales in August. Additionally, 4,057 Lada Niva Legend SUVs and 5,399 Lada Niva Travel SUVs were registered in the period.
From September onward, production capacity at the plant has reached 40 Lada Vesta vehicles per hour, 45 Niva units per hour, and 54 Granta vehicles per hour, reflecting a steady cadence in manufacturing throughput.
Since the beginning of September, prices for several brands have been raised by fourteen automakers, signaling a broad pricing shift in the market.
Earlier reports indicated that the Chinese automaker Jetour would establish a presence by the end of September and would introduce the X70 Plus transition to the Russian market, signaling anticipated model introductions and market activity.
