Two Chinese crossover models, the JAC JS4 and JS6, are scheduled to make their Russian debut on August 19. This information comes from the Drom portal, which is often a reliable source for fresh automotive news in Russia.
On that date, both vehicles are planned to be shown in Sochi during a concert celebrating the anniversary of a local radio station. The JAC JS4 will be offered with two engine options: a 1.6-liter unit producing 109 horsepower, and a 1.4-liter turbocharged version delivering 136 horsepower. The JS6 crossover, meanwhile, is expected to come with a single powerplant rated at 174 horsepower. Transmission choices for these crossovers will include both a manual and an automatic option.
In terms of equipment, buyers will have a selection of features for both models, including parking sensors, cruise control, a rear-view camera, a spare tire, a surround-view system, and either a glass roof or a sunroof. No precise date was given for when sales will start in the Russian market, leaving room for further official announcements.
Earlier reports noted that Toyota presented the new Yaris Ativ, a compact sedan, with plans to offer the model in Thailand. This move highlights the ongoing expansion of compact and crossover offerings by global brands in Southeast Asia and in markets like Russia as well.
