The UAE-based company Inkas Vehicles is recognised globally for its armored transport solutions built on serial platforms. While many of its offerings are civilian by design, the lineup also includes armored vehicles intended for security and law enforcement applications.
Among these are Titan-S models derived from the Toyota Land Cruiser 79. The vehicle is showcased in a photo taken in the abandoned Ukrainian city of Pripyat and published by a defense-focused outlet, illustrating its appearance in field conditions.
From a technical standpoint, the Titan-S presents modest performance. With a vehicle mass around 4.8 tonnes, it is equipped with a 128 horsepower engine, yielding roughly 26.5 horsepower per tonne. This configuration means the vehicle is less suited for rugged off-road work. On smooth, paved surfaces, it can reach speeds close to 110 km/h.
The armor level is adequate for specialized police units but not designed for high-intensity combat scenarios. The cabin offers protection against armor-piercing 7.62×51 mm rounds (classified to B7 level) but would not withstand heavy machine gun bombardment.
Vehicle armament can include a single 7.62 or 12.7 mm machine gun, which may be controlled from inside the passenger compartment. A total of eight firing ports are available corresponding to passenger seating to enable controlled firing when necessary.
For broader context, a Russian armored vehicle such as the Typhoon-VDV is described as having a 350 hp engine, with a 30 mm 2A42 automatic cannon housed within, a coaxial 7.62 mm PKTM machine gun, and an AG-30 automatic grenade launcher. It is also stated to withstand explosive charges of up to 6 kg of TNT beneath the steering wheel and up to 4 kg beneath the vehicle chassis, illustrating a higher level of protection in comparisons of capability.
