Infiniti unveils the next generation QX80 with a bold new look
Infiniti has introduced the latest generation of its three row QX80 SUV, as announced by the company’s press office. The design carries the brand’s Artistry In Motion philosophy, signaling a fresh direction that blends elegance with performance. A prominent feature is the wide radiator grille defined by sharp lines, complemented by a redesigned backlit Infiniti emblem that creates a striking silhouette from behind.
Inside, second-row passengers benefit from intelligent climate control with biometric cooling. A dedicated sensor monitors passenger temperature and automatically channels the appropriate amount of cool air to the middle row. In addition, the vehicle includes a built in massage system for the driver and front seat occupants, as well as for passengers in the second row, enhancing long journeys with comfort and luxury.
The QX80 is equipped with an adaptive suspension system including electronic air suspension and a dynamic digital suspension setup. This combination is designed to improve handling and ride quality across varying road conditions, delivering a smoother and more controlled driving experience.
Powering the QX80 is a 3.5 liter turbocharged engine delivering about 450 horsepower, paired with a nine speed automatic transmission. The model offers both rear wheel drive and all wheel drive configurations to suit different driving environments and preferences.
Meanwhile, in Russia a flagship crossover from another brand, the BAIC X75, starts in the Comfort configuration with a price of 2.99 million rubles. The vehicle measures roughly 4745 millimeters in length with a wheelbase of 2800 millimeters and a ground clearance of about 200 millimeters. Under the hood is a 1.5 liter turbo engine generating 177 horsepower, paired with a robotic dual clutch transmission while the drive layout is front wheel drive. These specifications illustrate the regional variety of three row crossovers available to Canadian and American buyers who track global model lineups for comparison and value.
There has also been industry chatter about AvtoVAZ announcing plans to offer every official model with its own distinct branding and lineup. This development signals how major automakers in the broader market continue to push product differentiation and expand their reach through in house family branding and tailored feature sets.
