Incident Report: Night Pursuit Involving Unlicensed Driver

A call to the police came in late at night, reporting that a vehicle described as a “seven” was moving along a route from Aleshnya toward Tula. The alert noted that the driver was a young man who appeared to be intoxicated, and that the vehicle was being operated in a reckless manner. The dispatch center relayed the urgency of the situation, prompting immediate action from the traffic policing units on duty.

Motor enforcement teams responded swiftly and located the vehicle on Marshal Zhukov Street, where officers attempted to halt the driver for a routine stop. The motorist did not comply, accelerating away and triggering a high-speed pursuit through urban streets and adjoining avenues. The chase intensified as the suspect attempted to evade capture, weaving through traffic and taking advantage of momentary gaps in guard positions.

At a significant point along the route, near Aleshna, the driver abruptly stopped the car, opened the door, and disappeared on foot into nearby fields. This sudden transition forced the officers to broaden their pursuit into a foot chase, moving through uneven terrain and dark conditions that tested stamina and navigation skills. The pursuit required careful coordination, with communications teams maintaining contact to prevent the suspect from slipping into more difficult terrain or obstructing additional roadways.

Three officers from the traffic police, Sergei Sanin, Vladislav Borisov, and Eduard Dudko, pressed the pursuit on foot. The suspect proved capable of long-distance movement on rough ground, but he failed to outpace the determined officers who kept the distance within reach and directed the chase toward a safer, more manageable area. After more than eight kilometers of grueling ground traversal, the officers succeeded in apprehending him, bringing the pursuit to a controlled end and ensuring community safety in the neighborhood.

The arrested individual turned out to be an 18-year-old who did not have authorization to operate a motor vehicle. Information regarding his level of intoxication could not be confirmed at the time of contact, leaving the exact state of impairment undetermined beyond the reports received earlier in the incident.
