Hyundai Elantra Updates Reveal Subtle Exterior Tweaks and Eco-Friendly Interiors

Hyundai has released fresh first images of the Elantra on its South Korean site. In many markets the sedan is sold as Avante and in some regions it is known as ithirty. The timing of this refresh is notable since the seventh generation arrived in March 2020, and the new version is slated to reach showrooms later this year.

The most visible changes are concentrated at the front. Narrower headlights with a strip of LED lighting along the top give the face a sharper look. A chrome bar connects the headlights, tying the front fascia together with a more cohesive appearance.

The grille treatment has been updated as well. The radiator area is split into two sections: a primary grille and an air intake, with a body-colored strip running between them. On the outer edges of the bumper, two faux air intakes contribute a sportier stance.

From the rear, changes are less pronounced. The bumper gains a pseudo-diffuser and a broad U-shaped element. The overall look is blacker in tone with wider red reflectors that emphasize the width of the car.

Side view reveals only minor tweaks. The wheels adopt a two-tone finish, and the C-pillar features a more intricate panel design framed by a thicker chrome trim.

Inside, the cabin carries one notable upgrade: the use of eco-friendly materials and a Sage Green upholstery option that lends a fresh, environmentally conscious vibe.

Additional images and the full technical specification are expected to be released in the near future as Hyundai continues to expand details on the updated Elantra for North American and global markets. [Hyundai official materials] These forthcoming disclosures will provide precise data on powertrains, trim levels, and equipment for the North American and Canadian segments, helping buyers compare the refreshed model with its predecessors and rivals.
