Premium full-size crossover fans in Russia have a new option from Hongqi. The Chinese automaker confirms the HS7 is now available on the Russian market with a promise of high-end comfort and modern technology. The information comes from an official channel shared with socialbites.ca, highlighting a strong start for the model in this region.
The HS7 is offered in a fully loaded configuration, available in both five and seven seat layouts. Prices begin at seven million rubles, and the vehicle measures about five meters in length with a wheelbase just over three meters, providing substantial interior space and a stable, planted ride on Russian roads.
Under the hood lies a 3.0-liter V6 engine that uses mechanical supercharging in combination with direct fuel injection. The unit delivers 337 horsepower and a torque figure of 445 newton-meters, paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The option of all-wheel drive paired with air suspension allows drivers to adjust ground clearance from 188 to 248 millimeters, accommodating a mix of highway cruising and rougher terrain when needed.
On the outside and inside, the HS7 is aimed at delivering a premium ownership experience. It wears large 20-inch wheels and offers heated and ventilated seats in the first two rows. The cabin benefits from a panoramic sunroof and ambient lighting that can set a variety of moods. A three-zone climate control system helps keep all passengers comfortable, while a 14-speaker Bose audio system provides a robust listening experience. For driver assistance, the crossover includes adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping features, comprehensive traffic management, and an automatic parking system. Behind the front seats, multimedia screens serve second-row passengers with entertainment and information options for longer journeys.
Hongqi entered the Russian market toward the end of spring. In addition to the HS7, buyers can access four other models in the lineup: the flagship H9 sedan, the E-HS9 electric crossover, the HS5 all-wheel drive crossover, and the H5 sedan. The English translation of the brand name Hongqi means red flag, and the company was founded by FAW in 1958. Hongqi vehicles are often associated with official use by Chinese leadership, underscoring the brand’s status and prestige in its home market.
In related news, sources close to the brand indicated that Livan, another Hongqi model, is slated to be introduced in Russia next year, signaling continued expansion of the brand portfolio in the region. The move would broaden consumer choices and strengthen Hongqi’s presence among premium SUV and sedan options available to Russian buyers.
