Honda unveiled a new crossover called Elevate in India, a model that shares its design language with the CR-V offered in other markets. This positioning places Elevate in a compact-SUV segment, reflecting Honda’s current strategy to bring recognizable styling into smaller footprints for emerging markets.
The Elevate sets itself apart with a compact footprint that relies on the same platform as Honda City, making it closely sized to the Hyundai Creta. Its measured dimensions total about 4312 mm in length, 1790 mm in width, and 1650 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2650 mm. This combination aims to balance interior space with easy maneuverability in dense urban environments while preserving a comfortable ride on longer journeys.
On the interior, Elevate offers a modern cockpit featuring a 10-inch display, a sunroof, and a multimedia system that includes advanced navigation features and driving-assist cues. Under the hood sits a 1.5-liter petrol engine delivering roughly 121 horsepower, paired with an automatic transmission to provide smooth performance for daily commuting and highway cruising. An electric version of Elevate has also been anticipated, signaling Honda’s broader electrification push in the region. In India, orders for the crossover began to take shape in mid-2023, with ambitions to export the model to multiple markets beyond its home country.
Meanwhile, Lexus has shared fresh visuals of two upcoming models, the TX crossover and the GX SUV. The official debut for both models is slated for an event on June 8, reflecting the brand’s ongoing plan to broaden its lineup with complementary luxury utility options that appeal to a diverse audience in North America and beyond.
