Haval H9 Price Moves: A Closer Look at the Russian Market in 2022
Over six months, the Haval H9 SUV experienced notable price declines in Russia, a trend that can be described as a genuine slump. In early April 2022, the Elite trim with 218 hp, the Elite diesel at 190 hp, and the Premium variant with 218 hp were listed at 5,099,000 rubles, 5,219,000 rubles, and 5,299,000 rubles respectively.
Following updates on June 14 and September 19, each price tag dropped by exactly one million rubles in total, with two reductions of 500,000 rubles each. The effect is easy to read: the numbers would show a plain “4” where the previous “5” appeared.
However, the downward movement did not stop there. In the process, two of the more affordable configurations disappeared from the lineup, effectively making the remaining options 100–200 thousand rubles cheaper than before. It is also important to note that, when compared to February 2022 prices, the H9 remains significantly more expensive now; back then, the top configuration cost 3,549,000 rubles.
Additionally, Chinese Automobiles reports that alongside the cheaper trims, the cost to paint the body in anthracite and platinum Neo colors rose by forty thousand rubles, up from twenty-five thousand rubles previously.
The four-wheel-drive Haval H9 pre-styling frame is manufactured at the Haval facility near Tula. Last year, when the model saw changes, though not to the same extent as the update in China, sales data from the Auto Expert Bureau (AEB) indicated that 1,211 units were sold.
- Be that as it may, the price reduction for Haval appears to be part of a broader pricing strategy, as the F7 and F7x crossovers also saw price declines.
