The unusual event rolled toward a nearby car service, drawing attention on a local Telegram channel called Ni Mash, which shared video footage of the incident.
The incident unfolded on Lenin Street, a route recently resurfaced with fresh asphalt. The released clip captures a steady stream of vehicles traveling along the renewed road, the surface gleaming under the sun. As the Gazelle drove by, the hatch broke free from the pavement and came loose, catching air as it moved forward with the speeding van.
The cover and the video clip sprang from the rear of the van, skittering onto the curb. The sunroof veered to the roadside, and the metallic ring clattered into the exterior of the local car service building. Despite the dramatic moment, no injuries were reported. A vehicle nearby, however, arrived at the scene with a flat tire, underscoring the potential hazards of sudden road debris.
