In Artem, a city within Primorsky Territory, a serious road crash left numerous people injured after a regular bus left its lane and plunged into a ditch. The incident drew immediate attention from officials and was reported through the district attorney’s Telegram channel as the situation unfolded.
The preliminary account from authorities states that a Shacman truck crossed into the oncoming traffic lane. This abrupt intrusion forced the passenger bus, operating on route number 224 and traveling the Vladivostok–Artem–Zavodskoy corridor, to veer off course and slide into the roadside ditch. Emergency crews arrived quickly, and the Ministry’s report underscored the sequence of events that led to the crash.
Despite the severity of the crash, the drivers of both vehicles and the bus passengers endured the ordeal. A substantial number of people sustained injuries and were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment. Investigators from the prosecutor’s office have taken charge of the case, promising a thorough examination of the factors that contributed to the accident.
The scene near Artem included additional hazards. Earlier, a portion of road and a lamppost in Vladivostok had fallen from a hillside, creating precarious conditions in the area. A residential building lay in close proximity to the collapse zone, adding to the concerns for resident safety and the complexity of the response efforts.
In a separate incident, a Zhiguli, carrying a driver and two passengers, reportedly plunged from a bridge into a pond in the Voronezh region. That event adds to the region-wide concerns about road and bridge safety and the need for ongoing diligence to prevent similar tragedies. The authorities indicated that investigations of each accident are proceeding to determine causes and accountability, with public safety remaining the primary objective.
