The Chinese automaker Chery is moving ahead with the launch of the Exlantix ET crossover in the first half of 2024, according to reports from carnewschina.com. The initial batch of vehicles has already left the production line, signaling a timely rollout for markets abroad.
The Exlantix ET is classified as a full-size crossover. It measures 4955 mm in length and rides on a 3000 mm wheelbase. The model line offers four powertrain configurations. The first two are rear-driven variants with outputs of 252 hp and 313 hp, respectively. The third option introduces all-wheel drive with a combined output of 480 hp, while the top spec makes 561 hp. Range estimates for these versions span from about 550 km to 760 km, depending on the chosen configuration.
Forecasts place the Exlantix ET’s arrival in the Russian market in November 2024, though details on the specific engines or configurations destined for Russia have not been published yet.
This follows earlier appearances of Geely Atlas crossovers at Russian dealer networks, where pricing for the new model line is expected to start around 3.2 million rubles and rise to about 3.5 million rubles, depending on the specification.
The entry-level package for the Atlas includes 19-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic roof with roof rails and a sunroof, eco-leather interior trim and seating, interior ambient lighting, and heated seats across the cabin.
Previously, it was noted that a new flagship Chery crossover would also enter the Russian market, signaling a broader push by the two brands in the region. Marketers and analysts have highlighted that the Exlantix ET’s combination of power, size, and premium features could position it competitively against other large crossovers in its class, appealing to buyers seeking strong performance and modern comforts in a single package. In parallel, observers are watching how the Geely Atlas lineup will evolve in Russia as local demand shifts and automakers adjust to the evolving market landscape. (Source: carnewschina.com)
