Pre-sales of the refreshed Exeed Exlantix ES electric sedan have kicked off in China, according to carnewschina.com. The new model lineup starts at 225,900 yuan, which was about 2.7 million rubles at the exchange rate in effect when the report was published.
The Exlantix ES introduces four new exterior finishes and two interior trim options. Wheel options now include 21-inch diameter rims, and several features come standard that previously were optional on the base models.
The entry-level configuration is equipped with a 77 kWh battery, delivering an EPA-style or WLTP-style range of up to 680 kilometers under typical testing conditions. An intermediate configuration switches to a larger 100 kWh pack, extending driving range to as much as 880 kilometers on a single charge in balanced driving scenarios. The top trim adds a dual-motor all-wheel-drive system paired with a 100 kWh lithium battery, claimed to support up to 710 kilometers per charge in standard testing.
In a bid to broaden its footprint, Chery plans a summer 2024 rollout of a new Exlantix region, with a dedicated Exlantix brand poised to enter the Russian market. This move is part of a broader strategy to offer electric vehicles that appeal across multiple markets while maintaining a focus on Chinese-made engineering.
The first model scheduled for dealer distribution will be the Exlantix ES sedan. It will utilize an 800-volt lithium-ion battery pack with a capacity of 82 kWh, supporting a single-charge range of around 530 kilometers in typical driving conditions. This high-voltage architecture is designed to enable faster charging times and improved performance consistency across a range of climates and daily driving scenarios.
