The latest updates from Russia show the Exeed VX arriving with a refreshed look and upgraded tech. According to industry sources cited by Rossiyskaya Gazeta, with confirmation from Oleg Serezhnikov, who heads the Avilon Exeed brand, dealerships have begun stocking the new Exeed VX. The model represents an enhanced, full‑size SUV that builds on the prior generation with noticeable improvements in power, efficiency, and interior technology. Serezhnikov emphasized that the updated VX is now available in the lineup and highlighted its starting price at 6,500,000 rubles, signaling a strategic positioning in the premium family SUV segment.

Under the hood, the Exeed VX carries a two‑liter engine delivering 249 horsepower and peak torque of 385 Nm, paired with a redesigned front end that signals a more assertive road presence. The transmission is now an eight‑speed Aisin automatic, replacing the earlier seven‑speed configuration, which contributes to smoother shifts and improved acceleration responsiveness. Inside the cabin, the VX receives a redesigned instrument panel and a trio of displays: a central 15.6‑inch touchscreen flanked by two 12‑inch screens in front of the driver and front passenger. The steering column now houses the transmission selector, and the audio system has been enhanced with 23 speakers to deliver richer sound quality across the cabin.

Industry chatter has also turned to future plans from regional brands. Reports indicate that in 2024 the Chinese automaker Great Wall Motor prepared to introduce the Wey 05 crossover to the Russian market. The Wey 05 is expected to mark the debut of the Wey brand in Russia and would stand as the first hybrid vehicle from the concern offered in the federation, signaling a potential shift in the domestic crossover segment with electrified options and new technology features.

Meanwhile, it has been stated that the Avtotor plant is set to commence production of domestically branded Amber automobiles in 2025. This development points to ongoing localization efforts in Russia’s automotive sector, aimed at expanding domestic manufacturing capabilities and broadening the lineup available to Russian consumers during the mid‑2020s.
