Over five years, an Exeed LX owner in Russia faces maintenance costs around 2.4 million rubles, according to the market research firm NAPI. The estimate highlights how ownership expenses stack up against the car’s price and running needs.

When spread across 75,000 kilometers typical for five years at 15,000 km a year in Moscow, the running cost equates to roughly 32.02 rubles per kilometer. In concrete terms, annual maintenance and running costs arrive at about 480,300 rubles, producing a five-year tally near 2.4 million rubles. The AWD Premium Plus tester cost about 3.38 million rubles.

The overall ownership cost includes the mandatory third-party liability insurance, MTPL, full insurance, tire replacement, fuel, routine repairs, and taxes. The calculation assumes Moscow ownership with the average yearly mileage stated.

The estimate also appears ahead of NAPI’s depreciation assessment for nine popular Chinese crossovers in Russia after three and five years. In that analysis, the Changan CS35 Plus emerged as the model best at preserving its value.

NAPI reports that after three years the Exeed LX would retain about 77 percent of its original value, and after five years more than 67 percent. By comparison, the Geely Coolray, a best seller in Russia, keeps about 71 percent after three years and around 64.8 percent after five years.

Earlier reports noted that China’s JAC is working on a luxury project aimed at challenging brands like Rolls-Royce and Maybach.
