New Russian EV lineup debuts in Moscow at the 2022 Bicycle Festival

The Evolute brand from Russia introduced three production electric vehicles in Moscow: a sedan, a crossover, and a crossover coupe. The unveiling occurred at the 2022 Bicycle Festival, with the automaker’s press service confirming the news.

During the festival, Evolute announced that Russia’s first fully electric car brand is taking part in the event with three production models available at the same time. The lineup includes the Evolute i-Pro sedan, the Evolute i-Joy crossover, and the Evolute i-Jet cross-coupe, marking a notable moment for domestic EV development.

The Evolute i-Pro measures 4680 mm in length and is propelled by an electric motor rated at 163 horsepower. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in about 9.5 seconds and offers a single-charge range of up to 420 km, making it a practical option for daily commuting and longer city-to-suburb trips.

The Evolute i-Joy features a 176 horsepower electric motor and is paired with a battery capacity described as 53 kWh. Its estimated driving range stands at 405 km. The model supports rapid charging, enabling the battery to move from 30% to 80% in around half an hour using a CCS-2 connector. Specific technical details for the Evolute i-Jet cross-coupe were not disclosed at the time of the presentation.

In related industry news, Chinese automaker GAC announced updated versions of its GAC Trumpchi GS4 and GS4 Plus crossovers. The refreshed GS4 is set to be offered in three trim levels and carries a price range of 120,000 to 132,000 yuan in the Chinese market, equivalent to roughly 1 to 1.2 million rubles based on current exchange rates.
