Over the next year, observers expect notable shifts in the Russian automobile market. The sector is poised for a major realignment, effectively a fresh start, according to a memorandum circulated among dealers aligned with Chinese brands by the Russian Automobile Dealers Association (ROAD).

Last year’s new car sales plunged by roughly two thirds, a downturn described as a harsh setback by ROAD in its briefing to the dealer network.

ROAD notes that Russia could see a market composition dominated by Chinese manufacturers in the near term. With a domestic auto industry currently expanding at a slower pace, the association projects that Chinese brands may account for about seven tenths of market turnover in the coming years, given the sizable scale of China’s production capacity exceeding 20 million vehicles annually.

Requires 7,000 tires in popular sizes

Ensuring public safety would be difficult without steady tire supply. Initiatives organized in partnership with the Popular Front are now collecting funds to buy tires for the People’s Police and operational services in the LPR and DPR. These purchases support ambulances, emergency response units, humanitarian aid deliveries, and military logistics. Contributions can be made on the fundraising page.
