Eight people were injured when a Gazelle passenger minibus overturned in the Buynaksky district of Dagestan. The information came from TASS, citing the press service of the republic’s Emergency Situations Ministry.

System 112 received a report about the overturn near Chirkey on the republican highway, according to the latest update from the emergency directorate. The eight injured were confirmed by the directorate, and emergency crews were dispatched to the scene. Local medical and rescue teams worked to stabilize victims and secure the area as investigators reviewed the sequence of events.

In October a bus accident in Dagestan left nineteen people injured, including two minors. A Volkswagen collided with a Gazelle minibus, and later another Gazelle rolled onto its roof, illustrating ongoing road safety challenges in the region and the need for heightened driver vigilance and vehicle maintenance.

Earlier this year a serious crash occurred in Transbaikalia’s Shilkinsky district at the 147th kilometer of the Mogoituy – Sretensk – Olochi regional highway. A Ford Transit minibus driver lost control, the vehicle left the road and overturned, injuring nine passengers. The incident underscores the hazards on long regional routes and the importance of seat belts, speed control, and timely emergency response, as reported by authorities.

Previously in Saint Petersburg a bus collided with several cars, prompting emergency responders to manage the scene and care for those affected. Investigations are underway to determine causes and prevent similar incidents in the future. The public is advised to stay informed through official updates from local authorities during travel or commuting, and to exercise caution on both rural and urban road networks.
