In Russia, a protective solution against drones has been developed for vehicles used by officials and business leaders. Mash, a Telegram channel, reports that the system is disguised as a car box and blends with the vehicle’s exterior.
After a successful rollout of a backpack version in the Northern Military District, there is growing demand for a mobile kit capable of recognizing unmanned aerial vehicles among government personnel and entrepreneurs. The new defense setup can suppress drones within a 1.5 kilometer radius and forms an invisible shield around the car. The system emits a signal when a drone is detected, warning occupants and nearby operators.
The kit is priced at 670 thousand rubles, and engineers say field testing will begin in two weeks.
Earlier reports indicated that the company KnownRussia plans to introduce a new light military vehicle named Vityaz, which will be equipped with the Volnorez electronic warfare system and assigned to the special operations zone.
The vehicle is built on the domestic UAZ 469 SUV platform and features a diesel power plant in place of a gasoline engine. It can be fitted with anti aircraft gun mounts paired with a KPVT heavy machine gun.
The developers emphasize that the main benefits of the new car are its driving performance and ease of maintenance.
Earlier information also suggested that Russia would begin production of updated Akhmat armored vehicles, signaling ongoing modernization efforts across segments of defense technology.
