A preliminary assessment describes a fatal misfortune involving a young driver born in 2003 who was behind the wheel of a VAZ 2115 in Uyar, located in the Krasnoyarsk region. The vehicle reportedly lost control and collided with the concrete support of a power line. The impact caused the car to overturn, the pole to snap, and the VAZ 2115 to split in two. The scene suggested a violent crash with significant structural damage to the vehicle and nearby infrastructure.
Officers from the State Traffic Inspectorate later confirmed the driver was under the influence at the time of the incident, with a breath or chemical analysis showing a blood alcohol concentration of 0.58 mg/l. This finding raised questions about the decisions that led to a high-risk journey and the conditions surrounding the crash site.
During the investigation, authorities uncovered additional details about the driver. It was determined that the individual had allegedly taken a car without permission and that the key to the vehicle remained inside the stolen car. Further, it was noted that the driver did not hold a valid driver’s license. These factors combined to paint a picture of unlawful vehicle use and a criminal act that escalated into a dangerous crash scenario.
Despite the severity of the collision, there were no injuries reported among people inside the vehicle at the time, and no passengers were present in the car. The driver is currently in custody as investigators gather evidence. A criminal case has been opened under the provisions that address unlawful vehicle transportation and attempted theft under the appropriate article of the Russian Criminal Code. If found guilty on charges related to unlawful carrying of transportation without authorization, the driver could face penalties, including potential imprisonment, depending on the court’s assessment of intent and circumstances surrounding the offense.
