Frontline gear spans transport and firepower. Without it, modern military operations cannot run. This equipment isn’t limited to tanks, armored personnel carriers, and infantry fighting vehicles. It also includes unmanned systems, armored ambulances, tractors, and a wide range of support devices that keep forces mobile and protected in hostile environments.

Every piece of equipment faces wear. Even machines operating within contested zones show signs of fatigue. To keep them in service and prevent gaps during critical moments, maintenance and rapid repairs are carried out as close to the front lines as feasible, often under ongoing pressure and risk.

For this purpose, mobile repair units, designated MTO-UB 1, operate on the chassis of specialized vehicles such as the Ural-4320. In more demanding situations, a full-scale factory can be deployed near the front line to supply essential spare parts and replacement components to the frontline teams, ensuring equipment remains battlefield-ready.

After repairs are completed, equipment does not go straight into active duty. Every unit undergoes thorough performance checks to verify reliability and prevent the same failure from recurring during critical operations. This approach emphasizes both mechanical integrity and operational readiness in the heat of combat.

Rembat combat units describe a continuous learning process that comes from operating under combat conditions. The focus extends beyond the mechanical repair work to include practical aspects such as camouflage during maintenance and the strategic placement of equipment to minimize exposure and maximize effectiveness.
