A serious traffic incident occurred in the Voronezh region when a truck struck a passenger bus carrying 43 children. The plight was reported by the regional directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the authorities confirmed.
The crash took place in the Liskinsky district along the 585th kilometer of the M-4 Don highway. Early information indicates that an IVECO truck collided with a MAN passenger bus; both vehicles were moving in the same direction, bound for Voronezh.
Following the collision, the bus driver and the person who was accompanying him sustained injuries and were transported to a hospital. The severity of their injuries has not been publicly disclosed. Onboard the bus were 43 children and 4 adults; fortunately, no passengers reported injuries. The group was later transferred to another bus and continued their journey to Voronezh.
In response to the incident, the Chairman of the Investigative Committee ordered the opening of a criminal case related to the bus-with-children accident in the Voronezh region. The case is being managed under the control of the department’s central office, as stated by Sledkom. The committee announced that the head of the investigation department, Levit KE, was instructed to initiate the criminal case and provide a report on the circumstances found during the inquiry.
Earlier reports noted a separate roadway incident involving a former senior manager of Rosbank, who was involved in a major traffic accident in Moscow. This information is being tracked as part of ongoing transport-safety coverage in the region and across the country, with updates issued by the relevant authorities as investigations progress.
