In Gelendzhik, a collision occurred involving the Mercedes-Benz driven by the son of Krasnodar’s former police chief. A passenger in the vehicle died at the scene, and the driver, 23-year-old Alexander Semyonov, was reportedly intoxicated according to Telegram channel Kub Mash.

Kub Mash reported that Semyonov was behind the wheel with his girlfriend as a passenger when the car lost control on Desantnaya Street, skidding and hitting a tree. The fatality was the Mercedes passenger, while the driver was transported to a hospital. The channel said that a criminal case has been opened in connection with the incident.

The report also recalled a prior incident in 2017, when Alexander Semyonov allegedly caused a serious accident while intoxicated in Krasnodar, striking a road service vehicle and causing the death of one worker and injuries to four others, according to Kub Mash.

Earlier, there was news from St. Petersburg about a driver in a Hyundai Solaris attempting to bypass a traffic jam in the opposite lane and then insulting another motorist who refused to yield right of way.
