During Moscow’s City Day celebrations, certain streets will see restricted traffic to ensure public safety and smooth event operations. The Moscow State Traffic Inspectorate announced this plan via its Telegram channel, outlining where and when vehicles may be affected.

In the city center, vehicle movement will be limited starting at 18:00 on September 9 and continuing until the event concludes. The affected corridors include Savelievskaya, Dovator, the 10th Anniversary of October Street, 3rd Frunzenskaya, Efremov Street, Trubetskaya Street, Kholzunov Lane, the reserved section of Komsomolsky Prospect, and Project Passage No. 2309. Motorists should anticipate detours and increased congestion as authorities redirect traffic for processions, security measures, and crowd management.

On September 9, specific closures will also apply from 12:00 to 22:00 on General Yermolov Street and the two side passages of Kutuzovsky Prospekt. Additionally, authorities plan to extend restrictions on Saturday, September 10, with a window from 15:00 to 20:00 in the same general area to accommodate parade routes and event logistics.

In TiNAO, a suburban district, restrictions will run from 08:00 to 16:00 on September 9 on Molodyozhnaya and Berezovaya Streets. The following day, September 10, Theater Street will be closed from 08:00 to 22:00 to support activities planned in the district and to safeguard spectators and participants alike.

A previous report noted a large incident north of the city, highlighting the importance of coordinated traffic management around major public events to minimize risks and maintain access for emergency services and essential travel. Travelers are advised to check official advisories, allow extra time, and consider alternative routes or public transit where possible during City Day festivities.
